Privacy policy

What this site does
This site publishes tutorial projects. There is no account of any kind here: to unlock a project's source code, you pick a Google account and this site checks, right then, whether it subscribes to the relevant YouTube channel. This policy explains what that involves.
Information we collect
- Nothing is collected just by browsing the site or watching a tutorial here.
- When you click to get a project's source code and pick a Google account, we receive your name, email address and a Google account identifier for that one check, and we ask YouTube whether that account subscribes to the relevant channel.
- If, and only if, the check succeeds and you actually download the project, we keep a record of the download: the project, the channel, the name and email Google reported, and your IP address and browser type, so downloads can be limited to a fair number per day and abuse can be prevented.
- If you never complete a download, none of the above is kept.
What we do not do
- We do not create an account, profile or password for you, and there is nothing to sign in to.
- We do not store your Google access token. It is used once, for the single check described above, and then discarded.
- We never post, subscribe, comment or change anything on your Google or YouTube account.
- We do not read your other subscriptions, your videos or your watch history on YouTube. The permission we request is read-only and is used to ask a single question: does this account subscribe to this channel?
- We do not sell your information.
How we use it
To check a subscription and, if it succeeds, let the download through, limited to a small number of downloads per day per Google account (with your IP address as a backstop against one visitor cycling through several accounts).
To keep a log of downloads, so the site owner can see how the site is used and investigate abuse. The site owner can see this log in an admin area.
Third parties
Google and YouTube provide the account picker, the subscription check and the embedded video player. Their own privacy policies apply to information they handle. Videos are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube only sets cookies once you press play.
Our hosting provider processes requests on our behalf.
How long we keep it
Nothing is kept unless a download actually happens. A download record is kept indefinitely for the site's own records, unless you ask us to remove it (see Your choices below).
Your choices
You can revoke this site's access from your Google account settings at any time (Security → Third-party access). There is no account here for that to affect.
To ask us to remove a download record that names you, use the contact details on this site.
